Former top administrator sounded the alarm about unethical scheduling practices for several years and now an OIG report confirms her claims.

Question:  “Did you know that some of this stuff was going on?”

NON-answer: “We definitely have come a long way since 2014”  (Then why are we getting reports that’s it’s still going on today?) “

She NEVER answered the question…”Did you know”

Question: ” Is there any accountability for the people who were doing things that were unethical?”

NON-answer: “We’re convening an Administration Investigation Board  (whatever that is?) and that board will take a look into the allegations…”

( Putting the fox to guard the hen house AGAIN )

Question: ” Could that mean that some of these people could be fired?”

NON-answer:  ” I think that’s a little premature to say.  I think the board will review the allegations and then go from there…”

(Translation from VA double-speak to english…” We’re gonna hide this in the deepest hole we can dig and wait till it blows over…”)

ARE YOU TIRED OF THIS HAPPENING AGAIN AND AGAIN?

VA WILL NOT CHANGE UNTIL FORCED

Only congress has the power to effect real change at the VA…they control the money…

And there’s only one way to control congress.

  1. I hate hearing how some VA facilities are treating our Vet, but I have to say that I have had nothing but outstanding service fron Truman VAMC in Columbia Missouri. They call me to remind me of appt S and when I need to make appts. The Jefferson City Outpatient Clinic is great. I had a problem with my hearing aids and was given an appt within 2 weeks. My primary care provider is always willing to spend the needed time to complete my annual exam and ensure I am up to date on shot, eye exams etc. it is a shame that all cannot be treated as we are here.

  2. Complained to OIG years ago over the Huntington, WV VA medical center manipulating veterans appointment times. My appointment was recently cancelled and rescheduled. On the morning of my original appointment I phoned the VA to make sure that I had been rescheduled. I have reviewed my appointments in the past and have been listed as cancelling appointments that I never had. I was informed that my appt. for that morning was “cancelled by patient”. I did not cancel my appt., the VA did in order to meet scheduling time requirements, my guess. I did not have a life threatening need to be at the VA but others do. OH! by the way, the VAMC, Huntington has harassed me ever since I began letting their secrets out of the bag (whistleblowing). Even involved local authorities, US Marshalls and the FBI. What a bunch. Arrested twice but everything is always dismissed by outside agencies but the harassment is there. I will always fight for our veterans even against the VA. The veterans are the ONLY reason I go to the VA. I have an outside Dr. whom I use for medical direction which has been very useful for proper diagnoses. Most veterans can’t afford decent medical care outside of the VA. DON’T FEAR THE VA BUT STAND UP TO THEIR ADMINISTRATION!!!
